Combat Ships of the Czech Navy

Guided Missile Destroyer "Berounka"

Fifth (serial) ship in a series of Type Vltava guided missile destroyers. Laid on the Trinec Shipyard September 20, 2002, launched on April 3, 2004, commissioned March 5, 2005.

This ship was named in honor of the Berounka River. It carries the name Mies from its source in Germany, next to the Czech border, until its confluence with the Radbuza in Pilsen. It then continues under the name of Berounka until it enters the Vltava on the edge of Prague. Ship hull number - DDG-05. Currently ship is in the 3nd Tactical Group (Reserve) of the surface ships "Laka" of the Czech Central Fleet.
