Combat Ships of the Czech Navy

Guided Missile Destroyer "Dyje"

Seventh (serial) ship in a series of Type Vltava guided missile destroyers. Laid on the Trinec Shipyard September 20, 2002, launched on April 3, 2004, commissioned March 5, 2005.

This ship was named in honor of the Dyje - a river in Central Europe, tributary to the Morava River. It is about 235 km long and meanders from west to east in the border area between Lower Austria (Austria) and South Moravia (Czech Republic). Ship hull number - DDG-07. Currently ship is in the 4nd Tactical Group of the surface ships "Orlik" of the Czech South Moravian Fleet.
