Combat Ships of the Czech Navy

Guided Missile Destroyer "Jihlava"

Eighth (serial) ship in a series of Type Vltava guided missile destroyers. Laid on the Trinec Shipyard August 7, 2003, launched on October 2, 2004, commissioned January 28, 2006.

This ship was named in honor of the Jihlava - a river in the Czech Republic, the right tributary of the Svratka River. Ship hull number - DDG-08. Currently ship is in the 5nd Tactical Group of the surface ships "Fojtka" of the Czech South Moravian Fleet.
