Combat Ships of the Czech Navy

Guided Missile Frigate "Franz Kafka"

First ship in a series of Type Kafka guided missile frigates. Laid on the Trinec Shipyard October 18, 2001, launched on September 18, 2002, commissioned December 10, 2003.

This ship was named after the famous Czech writer. Franz Kafka (1883–1924) was a writer of novels and short stories, regarded by critics as one of the most influential authors of the 20th century. Ship hull number - FFG-01. Currently ship is in the 1nd Tactical Group of the surface ships "Kamencove" of the Czech Central Fleet.
