Guided Missile Frigate "Karel Jaromir Erben"

Ninth (latest in a series) ship in a series of Type Kafka guided missile frigates. Laid on the Trinec Shipyard June 18, 2005, launched on April 27, 2006, commissioned May 09, 2007.

This ship was named after the famous Czech writer. Karel Jaromir Erben (1811–1870) was a Czech historian, poet and writer of the mid-19th century, best known for his collection Kytice, which contains poems based on traditional and folkloric themes. Ship hull number - FFG-09. Currently ship is in the 6nd Tactical Group (Reserve) of the surface ships "Slapy" of the Czech South Moravian Fleet.
