Type Vaclavka Coastal Minehunter

These ships were developed by the Design Bureau "Namorzhni kukachka" (Trebic). Four minehunter ships were built for the Czech Navy by Kralupy nad Vltavou Shipyard. The ships of this class were named after of famous Czech composers.

History:

Vaclavka-Type coastal minehunters are designed to find, classify, and destroy moored and bottom naval mines from vital waterways. They use sonar and video systems, cable cutters and a mine detonating device that can be released and detonated by remote control. Their primary mission is reconnaissance, classification, and neutralization of all types of moored and bottom mines in littoral areas, harbors and coastal waterways.

The platform has been designed with exceptionally low magnetic and acoustic signatures to protect against mine detonations during minehunting operations.

The ship has one 25mm Mk 38 Mod 2 naval gun and two 12.7mm machine guns.
